Welcome fantasy managers to another edition of the Weekend Waiver Wire. Let’s take a look at what goaltenders may be available as a streaming option this weekend to help you take down your fantasy matchups. Let’s get to it!

Jakub Dobes - Montreal Canadiens (59% Yahoo / 63% Fantrax) [CLB - Sat / @N.Y.I. - Sun]

We are going back to the well with regards to Montreal’s number one goaltender Jakub Dobes. The Canadiens are red-hot over the past few weeks sporting a 9-1-0 record in their last ten games played. A major reason for the Habs recent success has been the club’s netminders with rookie Jakub Dobes continuing to demonstrate his legitimacy as a true number one goaltender. In his last five games played, Dobes has posted a 5-0-0 record accompanied by a miniscule 1.75 goals against and superb .944 save percentage including a 100% quality start rate and 11.49 goals saved above expected. When you combine his level of play with the league sixth ranked offense (3.45 GF/GP) as well as the league’s eighth ranked power play it usually leads to success.

Jacob Fowler - Montreal Canadiens (30% Yahoo / 47% Fantrax) [CLB - Sat / @N.Y.I - Sun]

The Montreal Canadiens goaltender of the future Jacob Fowler has been rewarding the organization with some solid play for a rookie netminder who joined the team two months into the season. Fowler has had a rather solid campaign so far posting an 8-6-2 record accompanied by a 2.52 goals against and .904 save percentage including a 56.3% quality start rate and 7.65 goals saved above expected. The 21-year old has been sharp of late as well with a 3-2-0 record with a 2.44 goals against and .897 save percentage accompanied by a 60.0% quality start rate and 1.63 goals saved above expected. A potential start against either the Columbus Blue Jackets or New York Islanders this weekend will be another great test for the Habs youngster.

Vitek Vanecek - Utah Mammoth (1% Yahoo / 8% Fantrax) [CAR - Sat / @CGY - Sun]

This selection has more to do with the team that plays in front of Utah Mammoth backup Vitek Vanecek as well as the likely opponent being the Calgary Flames. Vanecek has not had much success this year as the 30-year old is sporting a 5-11-3 record accompanied by a 2.87 goals against and .885 save percentage including a 40.0% quality start rate and 0.46 goals saved above expected. All that being said, Vanecek will be insulated by the league sixth ranked defense (2.90 GF/GP) while facing a Calgary Flames offense that is ranked 30th overall at (2.57 GA/GP). It’s a calculated gamble but one I’m willing to take.

James Reimer - Ottawa Senators (4% Yahoo / 4% Fantrax) [@N.Y.I - Sat / @N.J - Sun]

It has been a bit of a roller coaster season for the Ottawa Senators yet here we are with a handful of games remaining and the Sens find themselves in a wild card spot despite the challenges the organization has faced this season. Veteran netminder James Reimer has been a rather important figure to the team's success simply due to his stabilizing presence in spelling rookie goaltender Leevi Merilainen who struggled at the NHL level this year. In a small sample size Reimer has put together a solid statline of 6-4-1 with a 2.42 goals against and .882 save percentage including a 50.0% quality start rate and 0.62 goals saved above expected. A likely matchup against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday could prove rather pivotal to the team's playoff positioning and with the Sens playing such a structured defensive game Reimer could be a sneaky good play this weekend.

There you have it folks, some streaming options to consider for your fantasy squad heading into the weekend.
