Welcome fantasy managers to another edition of the Weekend Waiver Wire. Let’s take a look at what goaltenders may be available as a streaming option this weekend to help you take down your fantasy matchups. Let’s get to it!

Jakub Dobes - Montreal Canadiens (49% Yahoo / 66% Fantrax) [@N.J. - Sat / N.J. - Sun]

Dobes has been on quite a run over the last couple weeks as he continues to solidify his standing as Montreal’s number one goaltender as we inch ever closer to the postseason. The 24-year old has fashioned a 4-0 record accompanied by a 1.25 goals against and .965 save percentage including a 100% quality start rate and 10.98 goals saved above expected over his last four games played. Montreal’s recent commitment to tightening up defensively along with the effect new goaltending coach Marco Marciano has had on Dobes’ game bodes well not only for the organization but also for fantasy managers trying to win their league championship.

Jacob Fowler - Montreal Canadiens (14% Yahoo / 48% Fantrax) [@N.J. - Sat / N.J. - Sun]

The Montreal Canadiens goaltender of the future has had a bit of a baptismal by fire as the young Fowler has bounced between the Canadiens AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket and the big club for a better part of the current campaign. That being said, the native of Melbourne, Florida has acclimated himself rather well with a solid 8-5-2 record accompanied by a 2.55 goals against and .904 save percentage including a 53.3% quality start rate and 6.38 goals saved above expected. The combination of Montreal's third ranked offense (3.51 GF/GP) going up against a New Jersey Devils team ranked 19th defensively (3.07 GA/GP) tilts this matchup in Montreal’s favor.

An interesting side note as it relates to both Dobes and Fowler, since making the switch to Marciano as goaltending coach on January 28th of this year, the Montreal Canadiens rank fifth league-wide in goals against per game played at (2.71). Get your hands on either one of these masked men before it’s too late - if it isn’t already!

Stuart Skinner - Pittsburgh Penguins (43% Yahoo / 77% Fantrax) [FLA - Sat / FLA - Sun]

Skinner has been rather inconsistent since his arrival in a trade from the Edmonton Oilers this past December, however, I’m looking at this from more of a situational standpoint with Skinner coming up big for the Penguins in his last start against the Detroit Red Wings as well as the Florida Panthers depleted lineup with several regulars sidelined with injury. Since the calendar turned to 2026, Skinner has put together an 11-4-5 record accompanied by a 2.72 goals against and .895 save percentage including a 65.0% quality start rate and 10.50GSAx. The 27-year old offers some solid win totals with decent if unspectacular peripheral numbers, it’s a calculated gamble but one that could pay dividends.

Arturs Silovs - Pittsburgh Penguins (17% Yahoo / 47% Fantrax) [FLA - Sat / FLA - Sun]

The 25-year old Latvian is enjoying a solid campaign up to this point in his rookie season having put up some impressive totals for a Pittsburgh Penguins team in transition. In his last twenty games played the young netminder has fashioned a 13-5-2 record accompanied by a 2.79 goals against and .892 save percentage including a 45.0% quality start rate and -2.60GSAx. Again, with a depleted Panthers roster in a back-to-back situation Silovs is a rather decent play behind the Penguins sixth ranked offense (3.47 GF/GP) and top ten power play (9th overall at 23.9%). A sneaky addition to any roster during the fantasy hockey playoffs.

Freddy Andersen - Carolina Hurricanes (35% Yahoo / 41% Fantrax) [N.Y.I - Sat / @OTT - Sun]

It has not been the greatest statistical season for Freddy Andersen, however, he is turning things around at the most opportune time with a solid run of play over the last few weeks. Over his last nine games played Andersen has 6-3 record accompanied by a 2.90 goals against and .868 save percentage including a 33.3% quality start rate and 0.32GSAx. The peripheral stats certainly leave you wanting more, however, with such a structured roster playing in front of him and their ability to suppress shots it’s a portfolio I'm willing to invest in.

There you have it folks, some streaming options to consider for your fantasy squad heading into the weekend.
