Huet Signs Four-year Deal With Chicago

Huet signed a four-year contract worth $5.635-million annually after Washington was unable to come to terms. Rumor has it Washington offered three-year $15-million.

Patrick Lalime is off to Buffalo, Cory Crawford is capable, and Nikolai Khabibulin has one year left at $6.75-million this season.

This looks like a good move by Talon, but it'll cost the Hawks this season. Just think they will have an extra $6-million next year to land another free-agent. This year Detroit did it with Hossa available and Hasek retiring. I thought Ottawa had a lot of cash tied up in goalies last year with Emery and Gerber.
