Jose Theodore enjoyed a bounce-back season with Colorado after losing his starting role the year before to Peter Budaj. The two-year deal is worth around $9-million, a lot for a goalie with history of slumping.

Cristobal Huet, who Washington couldn't reach an agreement with, signed a four-year $22.5-million deal with the Chicago Blackhawks. Former longtime Capitals goalie Olaf Kolzig signed a one-year deal with Tampa Bay for $1.5-million.
