Goalie Updates: Pre-Free Agency

Hannu Toivonen, who recently accepted a contract to play in Finland, received a qualifying offer from the Blues. I'm sure the Finland contract contained clauses as the Blues own Toivonen's rights.

Curtis Sanford and the Vancouver Canucks have had zero conversations. Sanford signed a one-year contract for $600,000 last season.

San Jose signed Brian Boucher late last season. He played well, 3-1-1, and is now expected to re-signed with the Sharks.

Apparently, if an extension with the Capitals is not worked out, Cristobal Huet is interested in playing for Ottawa. This would keep him close to his former home in Montreal. With Gerber under a big contract and Emery a potential buyout, I can't see it happening.
