Los Angeles Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi made the firing official Tuesday. Marc Crawford had one season remaining on his contract, however his 59-84-21 losing record pretty much said it all. Crawford last coached in Vancouver for seven seasons and also in with the Avalanche where he won the Stanley Cup in 1996.

Crawford was never one to openly discuss his starting goalies on a given night however did ease up on the secrecy this past season with Jason Labarbera as the #1 goalie.
